Convenience chain Kum & Go is taking steps to unify its supply chain and merchandising optimization.

The family-owned retailer is partnering with unified retail planning solutions provider RELEX Solutions to integrate its forecasting and mobility solutions through its stores across 11 states.

Kum & Go will leverage RELEX’s machine-learning-driven forecasts to enhance its existing replenishment process, as well as its On The Go mobility solution to enable store-level exception-based order review and mobile planogram review. The solutions are further expected to improve interaction between the retailer’s operations and merchandising teams.

As part of the partnership, Kum & Go will expand its existing merchandising capabilities to enable easier vendor collaboration and performance-driven assortment decisions.

Kevin Conniff, Kum & Go VP of merchandise operations, planning and space, said the partnership supports the company’s mission to deliver positive in-store experiences for its customers.

“This partnership not only allows us to modernize our supply chain and space planning processes but also delivers multiple benefits for our teams by bringing together merchandising and category management in a single solution,” he added.
