Best Buy Upgrades Merchandise Financial, Item Planning

Best Buy deploys merchandise financial planning and item planning applications from Predictix in Mexico and China as part of a broad international roll out. Predictix merchandising solutions have been selected by Best Buy for all of its international operations. Deployment is currently underway in the United Kingdom and Turkey.

The Predictix planning applications are designed to support Best Buy as the retailer accelerates its growth internationally. Best Buy uses the software to maintain a consistent, company-wide best-practices approach to planning, have the flexibility to configure the application to each country's local needs, while providing a unified view across all merchandising decisions.

Features of the Predictix planning applications include:
Merchandise Financial Planning: Integrated item planning enables visibility, with a connected process between merchants and demand planning.

Item Planning: Visibility to top-down plans allows a more accurate Open to Buy; Predictix planning also provides the ability to plan purchase order quantity and auto-execute to Best Buy's SAP enterprise application without re-keying.

Consistent Planning Processes: Best Buy can eliminate the disparate spreadsheets that are used in each country, replacing them with a end-to-end planning process.
